Montclair Pickleball Builds 12-Court Facility in Roseland, NJ

NJ’s leading pickleball academy, Montclair Pickleball, is building an innovative, state-of-the-art new home for their programs, and a new home for pickleballers all across the state.
The courts will be in Roseland, NJ, and are opening on Monday, September 18th. They will be outdoor this fall and convert to a unique, indoor/outdoor permanent structure this winter. The structure will have retractable walls that will rise during the warm months and come back down during the winter, to create an optimal playing experience year-round.

Montclair Pickleball will hold a full suite of programs including clinics, open play, play with pro, private lessons, court rentals, tournaments, and more, for players of all ages and all levels. Once added, the full structure will also include a pro shop, snacks and refreshments, seating, and more.
“We’d like this to become the mecca for pickleball in and around New Jersey,” says Reznik.
The forces behind Montclair Pickleball are founders Reznik, 24, and Slowinski, 23, both born and bred in Montclair. The pair are longtime friends, tennis buddies, and up-and-coming leaders in the pickleball world.
“Our mission is to provide a place for everyone to learn, play, and enjoy pickleball,” says Slowinksi. “We just want to continue building a thriving pickleball community.”

Master the Coolest Shot in Pickleball

Hitting an ATP (short for Around The Post) isn't as hard as you think.
Even though it looks like a cool trick shot, the ATP is actually an important shot to have in your arsenal. If your opponents hit the ball a bit too wide, you can use an ATP to punish them. Plus, hitting a successful ATP puts a ton of pressure on your opponents when they dink, because they'll get extra careful not to go too wide.
