We Know About the Drones

So what's up with these mysterious drones being seen all over New Jersey? People have different theories, but we know the truth -- they're pickleball spy drones sent up to get undercover information on opponents' strengths and weaknesses.  We're pretty sure that's not what those drones are for, but if they were related to pickleball, this is how we would use them...

1. Teaching beginners:  Too many beginners don't return and run, or even worse, they serve and run, which makes them volley the third shot and automatically lose the point. But with drone technology, as soon as the drone sees someone running up after a serve, it will send a shock wave down and stop them in their tracks.  After winning the point, grateful players will point up to the sky -- but they won't be acknowledging their creator or a lost loved one anymore, they'll be pointing to the drone.

2. Enforcing the rules: Pro sports have been using instant replay for years, so why can't we? When there's a drone watching your match, it will be able to instantly overrule bad line calls, call kitchen line violations, and even keep score if you want it to.

3. Equipment: There are drone deliveries now, right? Well, let's incorporate that into our pickleball games! The drone hovering over your court will have extra balls or paddles in case one breaks. It can even have a first aid kit to drop down if needed. Just wait a few years, and maybe it can even hold the water bottles for each player and pour the water down to the court. This way, you won't even have to walk over to get your water bottle anymore -- all you'll have to do is look up and open your mouth.

4. Gaining the upper hand: For an extra fee, the drone will be able to give you secret information about your opponents. This means showing you their hand signals, giving you details about the conversations they're having, telling you about little injuries they may be dealing with, and a lot more.

Pickleball is already tons of fun, but drone technology is about to take it to a whole new level.
