Improve Your Pickleball Game in New Jersey
Winter is now officially here, but just because it's cold outside doesn't mean that you have to take a break from pickleball. In fact, you can do just the opposite and improve your game this winter. Here are five things you can do...
1. Play Indoors: New Jersey has many great indoor pickleball clubs. If you're in North Jersey, then you can check out Montclair Pickleball Bergen County in Fair Lawn. If you're looking to play in Central Jersey, then stop by One Love Pickleball in Ocean Township. And if you're in South Jersey, then head on over to Pickle Juice in Ventnor Heights.
Those are just some of the places you can play. To find more indoor clubs in New Jersey, check out our clubs page here!
2. Study Up: There is so much to learn in our great sport of pickleball. So be sure to watch high-level coaching content. Sure, you need to actually practice and build muscle memory while playing, but that's only if you know what you should be working on. Well, The Pickleball Clinic's YouTube channel is packed with coaching videos for every shot, technique and strategy imaginable.
3. Get a Paddle: You can't play pickleball without a paddle. Well, maybe you can play with a frying pan, but we don't recommend that. If you want a better option, then we recommend the best paddle brand out there, JOOLA.
4. Work Out: Nothing screams hard work and determination like working out. (You've seen Rocky, right? 😀) Whether it's weight training or cardio, when you put in time at the gym, you're bound to improve.
5. Watch the Pros: So you played, studied, got a paddle and you've worked out. Nice job. Now the final step is to see how the pros do it. When you watch the best people in the world play, you gain a better appreciation of what your game should look like. Sure, you may not actually get to the pros' level, but emulating their form and playing style can only help your game.
